WHATS IN MY MAKEUP BAG: SCHOOL EDITION

hey guys! So, I haven't posted in an eternity, hehe. Anyways, I decided to end that today with this fun little post. I always love watching videos/posts about whats in people's makeup bags, because it really shows what their "bare necessities" are. So ya, I hope y'all enjoy!

P.S. The exact items in my bag change from day to day, but this is a pretty good picture of the usual :)



1. EYES

Sometimes I like to touch up my mascara throughout the day, or add a little more volume to my lashes. So, I always have my much loved Covergirl Lashblast Fusion Waterproof mascara and a metal-spiked lash comb to get out any unsightly clumps.



2. LIPS

If you can't tell already, I do love my lip products. While I'm not a huge collector, I firmly believe in a few things to keep your pout looking prim. First off, a plain balm. Smith's Minted Rose Lip Balm keeps my lips feeling soft and smooth. Next, a tinted lip butter. Of course this isn't really necessary considering I already have a balm, but my Korres Lip Butter in Wild Rose is too good to leave out. It adds the perfect amount of moisture a soft berry-red tint. Finally, a lip gloss. I'm pretty sure EVERY girl out there has at least one gloss in their bag, if not five ;) My Nars Larger Than Life Lip Gloss in Piree is the perfect rose pink that goes with every look, and I love the smooth, creamy formulation. Think your lips but better.



3. FACE

So, nothing special here. First off, I have blotting papers to suck up any gross oil that has accumulated over time on my t-zone {blegh}. Then my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Creamy Beige and Smashbox mini fan brush to re-powder and fight off shine. Finally my Mac Fix+ Spray. This magical friend keeps my face fresh and dewy, stopping the dreaded "cake-face" in its tracks. Also, it smells amazing.


Except for a compact mirror, which was ugly in pictures, that's it! So, I hope you liked it, and....blog ya later! {haha, excuse my cheesiness}

CHANNELING MY INNER MARILYN MONROE.

hey guys! I was sitting around, listening to Modest Mouse, when I had the strange wave of sudden nostalgia for all things vintage. I know, totally weird right? Anyways, I was inspired, so I grabbed my various makeup things and set to work. I came up with a classic look inspired by Marilyn herself :) Obviously, I don't have the platinum blonde hair and huge lips to cater, but what do you think? I absolutely love the makeup in the 50's and 60's, especially the bold red lips. There is something so timeless and utterly classic about this look :)

TAYLOR SWIFT'S NEW MUSIC VIDEO!

hey guys! So, Taylor Swift made a music video for her song I Knew You Were Trouble. And lemme tell you, it is VERY different from everything else she has ever done. It has more....depth. I kinda like it :) It shows me she is capable of something more than the super upbeat good girl thing. Anyways, I can already tell that it is going to get a lot of hate....but I like it at least. Tell me what you think!

MY CURRENT OBSESSION: POLYVORE.

Hey guys! It's Wednesday, and while I should be studying for exams.....I've been doing something else *insert abashed smile*. Lately, I  have been obsessed with Polyvore! If you don't know what it is, its basically a fashion/beauty collage-ing site! You make your own crazy mash-up and then you can publish it for others to see :) Also, if you really like something you see, it shows you on the side where you can get everything! MONUMENTALLY AMAZING! haha, anyways, yeah, it' surprisingly fun, so I thought I would just share that with you guys. Below are the ones I've made so far.

Hey guys! I'm sorry...I know...I have no excuse for not posting. Life is getting in the way of life if you know what I'm sayin' ? Probably not. LOL :P  Anyways, this is one of my favorite looks when I want to do something fancy. I love the edginess of it, especially with the color pop on my lower lashline.
