My {SORT OF} FIRST VIDEO!

hey guys! So....it's Sunday, and I filmed my kind of first video. It's me singing "Peter" by Daughter. lol.  Sorry it isn't in HD, I could not find my tripod, and the camera card was full. I just learned how to play the guitar two days ago, so I was in a singy mood. Forgive me for my terrible skills. hehe. Well, hope you guys watch, and make sure to subscribe! {only if you want to}

FALL/WINTER MAKEUP TRENDS:

hey guys! Fall is my favorite season. The way the trees turn into beautiful shades of oxblood and burnt sienna while the weather turns crisp and cool is just so breathtaking. Along with the change of seasons, the fashion and beauty trends shift gears too. While summer was all about color pops of neon, and adventurous makeup trends, this fall, the trends have gone more classic, intense winged eyeliner, bold lips, and natural, flushed cheeks. I've taken my spin on it, and I hope y'all enjoy :)

1. BOLD BROWS
I know, I didn't really do a bold brow :) But, going just the little extra mile for a more defined brow is in this season, and I have been loving it. For my brows, I fill them in with an angled brush using my Revlon 16hr Eyeshadow Quad in Addictive. I love this because it literally works for every single brow color, so it works on others too :)

2. INTENSE WINGED EYELINER
This is by far one of my favorite trends this fall There is something so classic about this look that I absolutely love. For a really precise wing, I use my Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner in Nior. The applicator is super long, which makes it super easy to apply. Also, the line is VERY black :)

3. BOLD LIPS
This fall, bold lips are a huge hit. I think the key is to pick a shade that complements your skin tone, and doesn't wash you out. That's why, if available swatch a bold lip color before you buy it. For me, I prefer my statement lip colors in stains or longwear forms, because they are easier to apply, last a long time, and there is no fuss with lip liner or any of that jazz. The shade I'm wearing right now is I believe a Sally Hansen Satin Lip Crayon in Risque. My mother gave it to me a while back, and the shade is sharpened off, but I love it dearly :)

4. ROSY CHEEKS
A lesser, but still lovely trend is rosy, just-came-back-from-frolicking-in-the-snow cheeks :) I have been using this nearly everyday when I am not using my MAC Mineralized Blush in Warm Soul {life-changing}. For this particular trend, I recommend a gel, cream, or liquid blush, because these create the most natural, dewy finish. I love theBalm's Stainiac Cheek & Lip Stain in Beauty Queen, because its super easy to apply in a pinch, and gives a beautiful natural rosiness.

Well I hope you guys enjoyed my take on this seasons makeup trends :) bye!

TV LOVIN': WHAT SHOWS HAVE YOU BEEN LOVING LATELY?

hey guys! I feel like when school starts, all the good shows come back. Which is totally not cool because would you rather do your homework or watch your fav show? I mean come on! Anyways, yeah, all my favorite shows have come back and these are just some I've been OBBSESSED with lately.

1. REVENGE
what's better than a kickbutt girl with a taste for revenge? I love this show!

2. THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
*squeal* I started watching the vampire diaries in the summer from the beginning, and got hooked. Literally the best drama/supernatural show....ever. I'm so glad it's back!

3. ARROW
It's a new show on the CW about this dude who was a castaway on an island for five years and then comes back...with a vendetta. It's pretty cool, I enjoyed it, so I don't know. It's basically Batman ixed with Revenge. hehe :)

4. GLEE
I love the new season! Of course they had to have a hiatus only four episodes in :( I don't know about you, but I am all for Rachel and Brody as a couple.

5. NEW GIRL
This show cracks me up literally every episode. Gotta love quirky Jess!

These are some of the shows I've been watching, what about you? I know Pretty Little Liars is coming back tomorrow. I don't know, I just don't like that show anymore but, whateves :)

QUICK SWATCH: URBAN DECAY EYESHADOW IN SMOG

hey guys! I don't really have time for an extensive post.....but I decided to snap some quick photos of one of my favorite eyeshadows, UD's Smog. It's a gorgeous cool brown shimmer that look's absolutely amazing when doing a smoky eye on the outer edges of the eye or in the crease. Sorry for the terrible natural light, it's kind of late at night :)

A REVIEW: NYX BLUSH IN PINCHED

hey guys! So, it's Sunday, an I had some downtime FINALLY I decided I could finally get to post something! I might do this thing sometime later where it's like a "flash of the past" and I do a series of remodeled versions of posts I previously had.....but yeah that's probably gonna be later so.....today I'm doing a review of the Nyx Powder Blush in Pinched. For those of you who don't know about the brand, it's a brand that's sold at Ulta or online that has a lot of pretty inexpensive products that are great quality. One of their best products are their blushes, and I feel like they don't get enough credit in the beauty world. So here's me, giving some credit to one of my favorite blushes :

Nyx Powder Blush in Pinched is a beautiful bright coral pink with gold shimmer. It retails for $5.99 at Ulta, but there are plenty of sales where you could get this at a lot cheaper. The formula is quite pigmented, so a light application would be best at first. The powder itself can sometimes get a little gritty as you see in the picture below, but it hasn't been a problem in the application, which is a plus. The wear time is also long, about 4 hours before it starts to fade away. The color reminds me of the oh so famous Nars Orgasm Blush in because of it's gorgeous gold undertones.

Another thing that I love about this blush is that it is so wearable! Not only can the color be built up, it looks great on pretty much all skin tones. I actually first suggested this to one of my friends who is much paler than me, but then when I tried it on myself, the shade, though looking a bit different, looked AMAZING. I think this is really the perfect summery blush, but I find myself reaching for this sometimes though it's fall. This color is a great way to achieve bright, glowy cheeks no matter the season!

I hope y'all enjoyed this review! Blog ya later! :)

HELLO WORLD!

hey guys! It's onion! For those of you who have been on my previous blog theopinionsofonion, sadly there was an issue {in which I TOTALLY did not accidentally delete my account...} so sadly, that blog is gone forever. Which makes me sad :( But I'm starting all anew with this new blog, and taking this opportunity to improve with better posts and videos and hopefully, it will be even better than my old one. For those of you who are totally new, I'm onion :) I love all things beauty related, books, movies, music......just about everything. So, this blog is going to be a compilation of everything I love, and other random little tidbits :)
